What is Hymenoplasty (Hymen Repair or Hymen Reconstruction)?

This is a surgery to repair a torn hymen due to intercourse or accidental tears. Hymen Repair is usually done for cultural or religious reasons. At The Manhattan Center for Vaginal Surgery understand the discreet nature of the need for this surgery and, as always, we are strictly confidential.

Does Insurance Cover The Costs of a Hymen Repair?

Insurance usually does not cover the cost of this surgery because it is considered elective.

Are Financing Plans Available?

Yes. We have arrangements with two financial institutions for no interest and low interest financing of your surgery.

How Far In Advance Should I Schedule My Hymen Repair?

Consultations can be scheduled any time. We prefer a 48 hour notice to schedule surgery although at times we have been able to accommodate patients with as little as 24 hour notice. You may also elect to schedule your surgery weeks or even months in advance.

What Is The Fee For Hymen Repair Surgery?

The fee for Hymen repair surgery at The Manhattan Center For Vaginal Surgery is $5900.00. This fee includes the charge for surgery, anesthesia, and all postoperative visits. No interest financing is available.

How Much Is An Initial Consultation?

The initial consultation fee is $200. If you decide to have the surgery, this fee is deducted from the full surgical fee.

If I Do Not Live In The NYC Area, Can I Schedule My Consultation The Same Day As Surgery?

Yes. Many of our out of town patients have their consultations immediately prior to surgery. At this time we perform a physical exam and discuss the surgery that interest you in full detail.
